The book “La 23” was published, a proactive project undertaken during lockdown by Daniel Virguez, Eduardo Pinto (text), and Angela Atuesta (illustrations).
“La 23” is the result of a challenge its authors set for themselves.
Daniel, a determined and aspiring writer, sees his misery as a desperate and euphoric way to survive, a path he turns into a tale of adventure.
Eduardo, on the other hand, accepts the challenge without enthusiasm, deciding that reality is rather unsettling. He blends it with fantastical scenes that nonetheless offer a glimpse into the constant self-doubt and self-flagellation of both authors.
La 23 is a book set in Colombia and France. A story that begins in youth and ends with the resignation of adulthood.
